THE MAXIMUM DISCOUNT RATE FOR POSTAL SERVICES MUST NOT EXCEED 50%
On April 12, 2022, the Government promulgates the Decree No. 25/2022/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Government’s Decree No. 47/2011/ND-CP dated June 17, 2011, detailing a number of contents of the Law on Post.
Accordingly, postal service providers; postal service provision agents that have the right to decide and adjust postal service charges must publish postal service charges in Vietnam dong, including taxes and surcharges of the service. The published postal service charges must be consistent with the rates announced by the enterprises or organizations to the competent state agencies in charge of post.
Besides, they must notify on changes in postal service charges being applied to customer groups and charges of newly arising postal services that are applied to customer groups. The notification shall be performed in writing or via online information system under the guidance of the Ministry of Information and Communications.
Additionally, the maximum discount rate for postal services promoted in the form of a discount must not exceed 50% of the most recent postage rate announced in accordance with regulations.
This Decree takes effect on June 01, 2022.
