The Ministry of Industry and Trade issues the Circular No. 24/2021/TT-BCT providing the principle of administering the import of salt, birds’ eggs and unmanufactured tobacco in 2022 within tariff quotas on December 16, 2021.
Specifically, the quantity of salt, birds’ eggs and unmanufactured tobacco to be imported in 2022 within tariff quotas for unfertilized eggs; salt (temporarily allocated for the first phase in 2022) and unmanufactured tobacco is 63,860 dozen; 80,000 tons and 65,156 tons, respectively.
Besides, import tariff quotas for salt shall be allocated to traders for direct use as materials for production of chemicals and drugs and medical products; import tariff quotas for birds’ eggs shall be allocated to traders that wish to import birds’ eggs; import tariff quotas for unmanufactured tobacco shall be allocated to traders that possess cigarette production licenses granted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and wish to use imported unmanufactured tobacco for cigarette production.
This Circular takes effect from February 01, 2022, through December 31, 2022.
