The Resolution No. 124/2020/QH14 on the socio-economic development plan for 2021 is promulgated by the National Assembly on November 11, 2020.
Major targets in the plan include: Gross domestic product will increase about 6%; Social labor productivity growth will be about 4.8%; Rate of poverty reduction will be 1 - 1.5 percentage points; Percentage of industrial parks and export processing zones in operation with centralized wastewater treatment system meeting environmental standards will be about 91%; Forest coverage rate will be about 42%, etc.
Additionally, this Resolution also defines major tasks and solutions as follows: To continue taking effective measures to prevent, control and minimize damages from the COVID-19 pandemic and other diseases; To continue promoting the settlement of non-performing loans, restructuring of credit institutions, especially those that perform poorly, ensure the safety for the system; to assign to the Government to build the Project on water source security and safety for dams and reservoirs for the 2021 - 2030 period, with a vision to 2045 to submit it to the National Assembly for consideration at its session at the end of 2021, etc.
The Resolution takes effect from the signing date.
