ENTERPRISES CONVERTED FROM BUSINESS HOUSEHOLDS SHALL BE EXEMPTED FOR BUSINESS LICENSE FEE IN 3 YEARS

On February 24, 2020, the Government promulgates the Decree No. 22/2020/ND-CP on amending and supplementing a number of Articles of the Decree No. 139/2016/ND-CP dated October 04, 2016 of the Government on business license fee.

Accordingly, from the effective date of this Decree, the group of exemption from the business license fee shall has 03 subjects, to be specific:

To exempt the business license fee for the first year after establishment or start to operate in production and trade (from January 01 to December 31), for: Newly established organizations (be granted a new tax number, new business identification number); Household, individuals, groups of individuals engaged in production and business activities for the first time.

During the period of business license fee exemption, organizations, household, individuals, groups of individuals established branches, representative offices and business locations, such branches, representative offices and business locations shall be entitled to business license fee exemption in the period of exemption from the business license fee of the organizations, household, individuals, groups of individuals.

And in addition, small- and medium-sized enterprises converted from business households (in accordance with provision in Article 16 of the Law on Support for Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises) shall be exempted from the business license fee within 03 years from the dated be granted the Business Registration Certificate for the first time.

And at last, public general education establishments and public preschool education institutions also be added in the group of subjects exempted from the business license fee.

This Decree takes effect from February 25, 2020.
