TO ISSUE THE DECREE ON INCREASING THE BASE SALARY
On May 15, 2018, the Government issues the Decree No. 72/2018/ND-CP prescribing the base salary for cadres, civil servants, public employees and armed forces.
According to this Decree, from July 01, 2018, the new base salary is VND 1.39 million/month, instead of VND 1.3 million/month as before. This base salary will serve as a basis for calculating salary levels in salary tables and allowance levels; calculating levels of operation cost and cost-of-living allowance in accordance with law; calculating deductions and benefits that are based on the base salary.
This base salary applied with:
- Cadres and civil servants from the central to district level;
- Commune-level cadres and civil servants;
- Public employees in public non-business units;
- Persons working under labor contracts and salaried under the provisions on salary regime for cadres, civil servants, public employees and armed forces;
- Officers, professional military personnel, soldiers in the Vietnam People’s Army force and the People’s Public Security force…
At the Resolution No. 49/2017/QH14, the National Assembly agreed to increase the base salary to VND 1.39 million/month.
This Decision takes effect on July 01, 2018.
